Karla Davis, 57, of Pampa, passed away, June 29, 2021 in Pampa.
Celebration of life memorial services will be 3:00 PM, Saturday, July 3, 2021 at the Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel with Rev. Norman Rushing of Central Baptist Church, officiating. Arrangements and cremation are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Karla’s service will be livestreamed thru the funeral home’s website.
Karla will be available for viewing from 1:00 PM- 8:00 PM on Thursday and 8:00 AM- 8:00 PM on Friday at the funeral home.
Karla was born on May 11, 1964 in Borger to Tommie and Randell Townsend. As a young girl she moved to Pampa where she grew up and attended school. She married her high school sweetheart, Chris Davis on November 20, 1981 in Tucumcari, NM. They shared almost 40 great years before her passing. Karla worked in law enforcement as a dispatcher and jailer for the Gray County Sheriff’s office for several years. After law enforcement, she would help babysit for her family. She liked to get a good Coca-Cola from Pak-A-Burger whenever she could. But what brought her the most pride and enjoyment was her family- especially her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Randy Townsend; a sister, Janie Allen; a father-in-law, Dale Davis.
Her survivors include her husband Chris Davis of the home; a son, Shane Davis and wife Abby of Pampa; a daughter, Kristie Davis of Pampa; three granddaughters, Sydni Albear, Emerie Davis and Scarlett Davis; her special fur baby, Brady James; a sister, Jeanne Eakin and husband Russell of Pampa; a mother-in-law, LaHoma Davis of Pampa; a sister-in-law, Becky Bridwell and husband Joe of Perryton; a brother-in-law, Hal Davis and wife Jolene of Boys Ranch; 4 nieces, Connie McCoy and husband Ty of Canyon, Monica Voelkel and husband Brandon of Germany, Casie Westfall of Dallas, Kylie Lindsey and husband Luke of Shamrock, and Jennifer Davis of Dallas; 4 nephews, Brady Eakin and wife Brittany of Pampa, Jason Davis and wife Holley of Channing, Justin Davis and Sharish of Temple, and Lee Bridwell and wife Lacie of Perryton; and a host of great nieces and nephews and other extended family.
