Kevin Ebenkamp, 57, of Pampa, passed away, November 13, 2021 in Amarillo.

Kevin’s funeral mass will be 11:00 AM, Wednesday, November 17, 2021 at the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church with Rev. Francisco Perez, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors and Crematory. The family requests that masks be worn at the service, please.

Kevin’s Vigil and Rosary will be held at 6:30 PM, Tuesday, November 16, 2021, with Rev. Francisco Perez, officiating at the Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors Colonial Chapel.

Kevin will be available for viewing from 10:00 AM – 8:00 PM Monday, 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM on Tuesday and 8:00 AM – 9:30 AM on Wednesday.

Kevin was born in Pampa on October 3, 1964 to Mary Ann and Lawrence Ebenkamp. He attended school and graduated Pampa High School from the class of ’83. After high school, he registered into Amarillo College and later enrolled at Cameron University, graduating with a Bachelor of Science of Engineering. While at Cameron, he worked full time at Texaco and after his graduation, Kevin was transferred back to Pampa. Kevin would meet the love of his life, Daphne Rothwell in 1994 and they later married on October 28, 1995 at the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. Kevin also worked as a Labtech for Pantech’s Laboratories for a number of years and for the last several years for Cabot up until his passing.

Kevin was a staunch catholic and a lifelong member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church and was very supportive and active with the Knights of Columbus. When he wasn’t working or helping with the Knights, Kevin loved the outdoors where he enjoyed fishing, hunting, and he loved snow skiing and being in the mountains. He also took great pride in his meticulous yard. However, what brought him the most joy was travelling and spending time with his family- especially the family vacations. Kevin will be greatly missed by his wife, children, brothers, in-laws, and all his friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and numerous other extended family.

Survivors include his wife, Daphne Ebenkamp of the home; a daughter, Amber Harris and husband Cobran and grandson on the way, of Lubbock; two sons, Jacob Ebenkamp and Caleb Ebenkamp, both of Levelland; five brothers, Ron Ebenkamp and wife Dana of Thornton, Colorado, Michael “Mickey” Ebenkamp and wife Kayla of Canyon, Bob Ebenkamp and wife Linda of Amarillo, Allen Ebenkamp and wife Jill of Canyon, Mark Ebenkamp and wife Misti of Amarillo; two sisters-in-law, Dondi Rothwell of Lubbock, and Darla Watson and husband Shawn of Pampa; a brother-in-law, Heath Rothwell and wife Sabrina of Childress; his two fur babies, Toby & Tiger; and by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and other extended family.
