On Tuesday August 30th, the Lady Harvesters volleyball team hosted Highland park. The JV and Varsity Lady Harvesters both won their match up, JV won the first round 25-23 in a hard fought game, then to finish it out JV won 25-22 in JV played the best two out of three games to move on.

Varsity came out with a rose ceremony in dedication to their most valued teacher, in a very heartfelt moment. Varsity plays the best three out of five games in order to move on, right now varsity has a record of 16-8, they are a fairly young team with only a minimal amount of seniors.

Varsity won their match up, the score in the first was 25-17, the second 25-20 and to finish it off 25-21, the varsity team was down in the second and third but fought hard and came back to win.

“I am very happy with how the team is playing,” Coach, Abbey Wehrman said. “There are still a few things to work on but the girls never quit or give up even when they are down, they push through.”

Coach Wehrman is from Colorado and did some coaching there and also in Oklahoma before getting the job here, this is her first year coaching for the Pampa Harvesters. She has high expectations for this team and believes if they can keep playing their game and stay focused, there isn’t anything that can stop them.

The Lady Harvesters will take on Dalhart September 3rd for their next non-district game played in Dalhart.
