Lee Brown, 85, of Pampa passed away on Friday, November 27, 2020 in Pampa.

Services will be held 10:00 AM on Tuesday, December 1, 2020 at Central Baptist Church with Rev. Norman Rushing, pastor, and Rev. Kyle Ohsfeldt, pastor of Grace Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery. Due to the rising COVID-19 concerns the family requests that everyone attending wear a mask.

Lee was born on August 22, 1935 in Holiday, TX to Jimmie Allen and Thelma Head Brown. He attended school in Borger before moving to Pampa in 1946. Lee served in the Navy from 1952 until 1956. He married Melba Newman on November 25, 1956 in Pampa. Lee and Melba shared 62 wonderful years together until her passing in 2018. He worked as an electrician for Ray Electric in Amarillo for 29 years before retiring. Lee enjoyed fishing, camping, and traveling in his RV. He volunteered for many years at the Optimist Club where he coached baseball and basketball. Lee was a member of Central Baptist Church. He will be remembered as a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend.

Lee was preceded by his wife; his parents; his son, Buddy Brown, 2 brothers, Eddie “Butch” Brown and Dickie Brown; and 2 brothers-in-law, George Newman and Eugene Anthony.

He is survived by his children, Eddie Lee Brown and wife Carolyn of Fort Worth and James Delton Brown and wife Amanda of Allen; 1 sister, Wanda Anthony of Denver, CO; 5 grandchildren, Cody Brown, Erik Brown, David McBrayer, Meredith McBrayer, and Eli Renner; 2 great-grandchildren, Kalyan McBrayer and Hailey Brown; and many friends.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff at Meredith Place for the excellent care they gave to Lee.
