Lefors City Meeting

Mayor Michael Ray called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. Present were Council members Codi Hess, Savanah Kingcade, James Gee, and Aaron Hunt. Council member Keith Franks was absent. Mayor Ray led the Pledge of Allegiance. Councilman Gee said the Invocation.

No public comments made.

City Judge Kurt Curfman submitted a written report: For the month of January 2023, we had receipts of $995.00. There were 9 new complaints or citations filed with the Court from the Marshal. These were State or City Ordinance violations that were reported. At this current time, we have an outstanding balance of fines and court costs due the City in the amount of $11,953.00. We are current on all local, state, and federal reports. City Marshal Hayden Gray submitted the following report:

Councilman Hunt made a motion to approve the consent agenda, including minutes from January 16, 2023, regular meeting, bills, and department reports. Councilwoman Kingcade seconded. Vote unanimous. - Motion passed.

Councilwoman Kingcade made a motion to approve second reading and adoption of Ordinance 2023-0109, an ordinance updating the fee schedule by removing all fees for gas. Councilman Hunt seconded. Vote unanimous. - Motion passed.

Councilman Hunt made a motion to approve and adopt Ordinance2023-0213, an Ordinance establishing regulations regarding noise. Councilwoman Hess seconded. Vote unanimous. - Motion passed.

Discussion with PRPC regarding CDBG grant was tabled until March regular meeting. Consideration of purchasing tables, chairs, and new doors for the Civic Center was tabled until next budget year.

Council retired to executive session at 7:16 p.m.

Council returned to regular session at 7:22 p.m.

Councilman Hunt made a motion to adjourn. Councilwoman Kingcade seconded. Vote unanimous. - Motion passed.
