Leonard Franklin Warren, Jr. “Jr” “Pops”, 68, of Pampa, passed away on August 16, 2021 in Amarillo.

Celebration of Life memorial services will be 2:00 PM, Friday, August 20, 2021 at Briarwood Church with Pastor Jamisen Hancock, pastor, officiating. Arrangements and cremation are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 6:00-7:00 PM at the funeral home. Leonard was born on November 23, 1952 in Canyon to Edna and Leonard Warren, Sr. He grew up in Amarillo and graduated from Palo Duro High School in 1971. While in high school, he met Sandy Phillips and he later married his high school sweetheart on September 2, 1972 in Amarillo. In 1980, Leonard and the family moved to Pampa when he went to work for Serfco and has remained ever since.

Leonard was the definition of blue-collar. He was a hardworking family man that did the best he could with what he had. Pops boys never went without and that carried over to his grandkids. There was never a task too big or too small for him. He always was just a phone call away for whomever needed help, whether it be working on cars or something as simple as hanging a blind. Leonard loved his boys and traveled all over the country to watch them play sports whether it was college football, softball or watching them coach his granddaughters. Pops was present at every practice and always had to get his two cents in. Leonard was a man that could move mountains and will be missed by many throughout this community.

Leonard was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Brenda McMillen; and a brother-in-law, Jerry Copeland.

His survivors include his wife, Sandy Warren of the home; two sons, Jason Warren and girlfriend Megan Hicks, and Jeff Warren and girlfriend Lindsey Botello, all of Pampa; two sisters, Linda Copeland, and Glenda Holt and husband David, all of Midwest City, Oklahoma; four grandchildren, Bryson Warren of Fritch, Brooklyn Warren, Luke Warren, and Blayklee Cooper, all of Pampa; a brother-in-law, Mac McMillen of Amarillo and his grandfurbabies, Axel, Peanut, and Boomer; and other extended family.
