My name is Lanelle Riggs and I am 94 years old. I have recently had a hip replacement surgery done by the skilled orthopedic surgeon, Doctor David Hampton and spent 4 or so weeks in Pampa Regional Medical Center for recuperation.

My care and needs were excellently met by sweet nurses, physical therapy people, cleaners, food prep and respiratory people, and attentive doctors.

I am a quilter and since I had some trouble sleeping in the hospital, my daughters brought my sewing machine and supplies to my room. If I had a sleepless night, I would quilt and pass the time. The hospital showed me that they are committed to personalizing care that aids in healing just like the quilting did for me.

I was also concerned about missing my weekly Bible study with my friends and the hospital graciously allowed my Bible study to meet in the hospital cafeteria during my stay. I firmly believe the extraordinary and loving care that I received at PRMC shortened my recovery time.

I don’t think I could have gotten better care anywhere and feel blessed to have received the individual care that I wouldn’t have gotten at another hospital. Our community is blessed to have such a capable and caring hospital.
