As a member of the Harvester Class of ‘71, I was planning and looking forward to attending our 50 year reunion this month. Then I saw the COVID vaccination map that showed the vaccination percentage rate in Gray County is still in the 20s. I canceled my hotel reservation and sent my regrets that I would not attend.
As much as I wanted to see my old friends and revisit our haunts, I am not willing to risk my family’s health in such an environment.
Growing up in Pampa, I was taught that freedom requires responsibility.
Please get vaccinated, y’all. Save lives, protect families, prevent illness, and allow our economy and public health to recover.
