Little Caesar’s gives back to community with free pizza

The growing pandemic afflicting this country has certainly taken it’s toll on communities and changed the way we operate as a nation.

But one of the many national chain restaurants stepping up has a store right here in Pampa.

Little Caesar’s, located at 2505 Perryton Parkway, has started delivering free pizzas to Pampa Regional Medical Center as a “thank you” to the service provided by the medical staff.

Adam Sherman, operations supervisor for Little Caesar’s in Pampa, said while the national company of Little Caesar’s directed it’s stores to do so, the Pampa location had a couple more hoops to jump through involving setting up the deliveries themselves.

“We made a goal to donate a million pizzas, nationwide, to first responders at hospitals, fire departments and police stations,” Sherman said. “Little Caesar’s corporate selected 1,500 stores to deliver to hospitals and another 2,500 stores to fire stations/police department. These stores were selected based on their ability to deliver through Doordash (mobile app for food delivery).

“Any franchise not selected due to their Doordash-limited service area were able to go out on their own to set it up. That’s what we did. I called the local hospital in Pampa, Perryton, Dumas and Dalhart (where there are other Little Caesar franchises).”

As a result, Little Caesar’s will have staff delivering twice a week to each of the facilities, 10 pizzas for lunch and 10 pizzas for dinner.

Sherman said he has always wanted to give back to the community and with Little Caesar’s wanting to give back, it was the perfect opportunity.

“We’ve donated to local churches, schools, etc.,” Sherman said. “Knowing it was going to be done through Doordash and our small towns haven’t been able to benefit from Doordash yet, I didn’t want us to be forgotten. So I took the initiative to get it set up.

“We are a local franchise. We only have four stores and are hoping for a fifth (that will open in Borger).

“These small towns sometimes get forgotten about. So I wanted to make sure the towns where our stores are in knew that we haven’t forgotten. We know the community is hurting. We know that everybody is going through this together and we are there with everybody.”

Little Caesar’s is still open in Pampa only through the drive-thru and accepting online orders for pick-up, all at a reasonable price to feed a family of four.

“Little Caesar’s is still one of those places in the nation you can feed a family of four for less than $15,” Sherman said.

There are no promotions going on, but the $5 Hot and Ready pizza is still available all-day, every day and the full menu is available for order every time.
