Lucille Marie Carter, 66, of Dumas passed away on November 5, 2020 in Dumas.

Memorial services will be 2:00 PM on Sunday, November 22, 2020 at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel with Rev. Zane Powers, associate pastor at First Baptist Church in Dumas, officiating. Marie was born on October 17, 1954 in Pampa to Gary and Jerri Cox Cady. She attended elementary and junior high school in Pampa before she moved to Lefors in high school. Marie was a 1974 graduate of Lefors High School. After graduation she married Ronald Carter and they had two children together. Later, Marie attended Frank Phillips College in Borger where she earned her nursing degree. Marie enjoyed her work and continued working until she was no longer able to. She will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother.

Marie was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Gay Nell Ellis.

She is survived by her children, James Carter and wife Rebecca of Dumas and Amanda Reid of Amarillo; one sister, Melody Stevens of Pennsylvania; two brothers, Carl Cady of Amarillo and Randall Cady Sr. of Pampa; four grandchildren, Jennifer Carter, Zachary Carter, Abigail Carter, and D.J. Reid; and several nieces and nephews.
