Meridith Place residents create their own pumpkin patch

Posted

Kristie Fuller, director of Meridith Place, made a Facebook post asking the Pampa community to donate wine bottles for the residents. The citizens of Pampa came through for her, and the residents of Meridith Place wasted no time putting them to good use.

Residents wrapped the bottles with tissue paper and decoupage to make their own pumpkins. Faux fall leaves were glued to the tops for flair and jack-o-lantern faces were painted onto the wrapped bottles. Residents placed their hand-crafted pumpkins together to create Meridith Place’s very own pumpkin patch.

“It took the residents two days to make them,” said Fuller.

The adorable pumpkins are on display in front of the fireplace at Meridith Place.
