Nadine Moore, 83, of Pampa, enter the gates of Heaven on October 1, 2022 in Perryton.

Services will be at 10:00 AM Friday, October 7, 2022 at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel with Rev. Zachary Greer, associate pastor of First Baptist Church, officiating. Entombment will follow in Memory Gardens Mausoleum under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors and Crematory. The funeral service will be live streamed through the funeral home website.

Nadine was born November 16, 1938 in Canadian to Joe and Billie Slater. She graduated from Pampa High School in 1957. Soon after graduation, she married Tom Overstreet. Nadine would later marry Darrell Moore, he passed away in 1977. She worked as a teller for several banks for a few years before going to work for Memory Gardens Cemetery. She worked as a secretary at the cemetery for many years before she retired. After retirement, Nadine worked at First Baptist Church as the church secretary retiring again in 2013. She was a long-time member of First Baptist Church. Nadine loved the Lord and had strong Christian morals and standards. She was a “real” lady with a kind and loving heart, and never said a cross word about anyone. Nadine was an independent lady who was very organized in everything she was involved with. She had a beautiful voice and enjoyed playing the piano. She will be missed by her family and friends.

 

Nadine was preceded in death by her sister and her husband, Shirley and Gerald Wyche; brother, Leroy Slater; two brothers-in-law, Anthony Smith and John Howell.

Survivors include two sons, Tommy Overstreet and wife Lori of Borger and Brian Overstreet and wife Jamie of Tuleta; brother, Wayne Slater and wife Barbara of Pampa; two sisters, Maxine Howell of Carrolton and Kay Smith of Chesapeake, Virginia; 7 grandchildren, Michelle Cano and husband James, April Salas, Samantha Blakely and husband Aaron, Rebecca Overstreet, Richard Overstreet and wife Jessica, Patti Brown, and Rory Brown and wife Rebecca; and 13 great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 6:00PM – 7:30 PM.
