Nora Pearl Bentley Delozier

Nora Pearl Bentley Delozier, 102, of Pampa, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 27, 2022 in Pampa.

Services will be at 2:00 PM on Thursday, March 3, 2022 at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel with Ian Jones, pastor at Somerville Church of Christ, officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors and Crematory. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, March 2, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM.

Nora was born on January 24, 1920 in Donley County, just outside of McLean to Hubert and Lorena Bentley. She attended school in Magic City and graduated, as valedictorian, in 1936. Nora then attended Hills Business College in Oklahoma City. She married her first husband, Buddy Bogle in 1940 in Sayre, Oklahoma. They made their home in Borger, where they began raising their two children, Charles and Donna. Nora and Buddy were married for 13 years until his passing in 1953. Nora re-married Clark Delozier in 1955 in Borger. She gained two children from this marriage, Terry and Toni. Nora and Clark were married for 56 years until his passing in 2011. Nora worked part-time in the county extension office in Hansford County for many years. She was also a bookkeeper for the family business, Delozier Welding. Nora was an active member at her home church in Perryton. She enjoyed spending time with her family, going for walks with friends, playing cards with her neighbors, traveling, and going hunting with Clark. Her favorite place to visit was the family cabin, that her dad had built in the 1930’s, in Eagle Nest, New Mexico. Nora was a gifted athlete, playing volleyball and tennis in high school. She was longtime resident of Spearman from 1956 to 2013. In 2013, Nora moved to Pampa to be closer to her family. She became a member of the Somerville Church of Christ after moving to Pampa. Nora was baptized at the age of 12. Her faith was always the most important thing in her life. She will be remembered as a loving and caring mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great mother, and friend.

Nora was preceded in death by her parents; both of her husbands; one son, Terry Delozier; one daughter, Donna Bailey; two grandsons, Braden Delozier and Ryan Zink; and her sister, Jocie Burrell.

She is survived by her two children, Charles Bogle and wife Dorothy of Pampa and Toni Zink and husband Tom of Perryton; one son-in-law, Bill Bailey; 7 grandchildren, Bethany Morgan, Nathan Bailey, Philip Bailey, Stephanie Hartz, Michelle Bogle, Devin Delozier, and Landon Delozier; 11 great-grandchildren, Nick, Natalie, Brianna, Natasha, Kursti, Calli, Amanda, Clint, Nathan, William, and Lane; and 19 great-great grandchildren.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Texas Home Health for the love and support they showed to the Delozier family during this difficult time.
