An Amarillo woman was killed in an apparent hit-and-run north of Bushland Sunday night.
At approximately 11:40 p.m., a vehicle was driving on Ranch-to-Market 1061 six miles north of Bushland.
Aye Mya, 56, Amarillo, entered the roadway from the north barrow ditch when she was struck by the vehicle.
The driver of the unknown vehicle failed to stop and Mya died at the scene.
A witness reported seeing a large truck leaving the area continuing northbound, but was unable to identify the make, model or color of the vehicle. Anyone, including automotive body shop owners/employees, that has information on the fatal crash or was in the area at the time, is encouraged to contact the DPS office at 806-468-1394.
The crash remains under investigation. Information may change, be corrected, or added based on the investigators findings.
