The Pampa Independent School District Board of Trustees met on Monday evening for a special meeting.
During the meeting, the Board approved and accepted the resignation of Superintendent Dr. Tanya Larkin. Dr. Larkin took a position as the Executive Director of Region 16 Education Service Center.
Board President Matt Brock said the resignation becomes official on Aug. 13, but the Board did hire a Interim Superintendent, Dr. Larry Blair, who will come in on July 19.
Dr. Blair served as the interim between Dr. David Young and Dr. Larkin several years ago. Dr. Blair will also help lead the search for the next Pampa ISD Superintendent.
