Jaston Cambern struck out 17, allowed only one hit and gave up one unearned run to lead the Phillies to a 7-1 victory over the Glo-Valve Service Dodgers Monday in Pampa Optimist 11-12 Cal Ripken play.

The Phillies drew first blood in the bottom of the first inning. With two outs Cambern singled, stole second and scored on a Glo-Valve throwing error.  Glo-Valve tied the game at one in the top of the second.  Carson Rogers walked, stole second and third and came in to score on an errant pickoff attempt.

The winners regained the lead in the bottom of the second scoring twice.  Nathan Alderete walked, stole two bases and came home on an error.  Aaron Ellins singled, stole second, took third on an error and scored on a wild pitch.

The Phillies padded their lead in the third inning.  David Ocho walked, stole second and third and tallied on a wild pitch.  The Phillies led 4-1.   Alderete led off the forth inning with a double and hustled home on a single by Ellins.  Landry Clausen and Cambern walked to start the Phillies fifth inning.  They both scored after an error, an infield out, a wild pitch and a passed ball.

Glo-Valve’s only hit and only other baserunner was a double by David Buendia.

The defensive plays of the game were a double play from Glo-Valve catcher Carson Rogers, who caught a foul ball, to Gentry Stanhope, who covered second and caught a runner trying to get back to the bag.  Rogers also got a caught stealing tossing to Buendia to nab a runner trying to score when a pitch got by the catcher.
