Mr. Pletcher was born on March 13, 1927 in Perryton to Paul Odessa and Alice Beatrice Kile Pletcher. Paul Allen attended school in Perryton, graduating from high school at the age of 16. He later attended The Apostolic Faith Bible School in Baxter Springs, Kansas, where he met the love of his life, Bonnie June Schrimpf. They were married on May 30, 1951 and celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary this year. Together they served in many areas of ministry. They spent thirteen years working in Mexico as missionaries. Over the course of his lifetime, Paul Allen pastored several churches and was instrumental in planting many more. He served as a Bible professor in two schools: The agricultural Bible School of Puebla, Mexico and Midwest Bible institute in the United States. Paul Allen traveled through many states in both countries speaking in churches and holding evangelistic meetings. He led his children in word and in deed, teaching the value of a life of service and faithfulness to God. Paul Allen and Bonnie not only raised six children of their own, they also welcomed into their home and mentored several other young people in their time of need. He attended the First Pentecostal Holiness Church for the last 20 years. A plaque with the following expression hung for years in his parents’ house. “Only one life, ‘twill soon be past, only what’s done for Christ will last.” The influence Paul Allen had and the people he led to the Lord shall live on eternally. “They who are wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament, they that turn many to righteousness as the stars forever and ever.” Daniel 12:3.
