Pampa played in the Caprock Tennis Tournament this weekend against some great competition. The players had some good results playing some great tennis. In the Gold Bracket, the boys team of Mason Bagwell / Terry Ketchum went 3-1 finishing 5th only losing to Amarillo High. The other boys team of Jorge Estrada / Eric Vick also went 3-1 winning the consolation side after losing their first match to a good Lubbock Monterey team. The mixed doubles team of Madi Sloan / Clark Allen went 3-1 losing first round to a good Hereford team but then winning the rest of their matches to win consolation. In boys singles Kaden Brown continued to play good finishing 6th going 2-2 while the team of McKenzie Woods / Samantha Alderete in girls doubles continued to show improvement going 2-2 finishing 13th. In the Silver Bracket, the girls doubles team of Maddison Sorrell / Grace Guymon went 3-1 falling short in the finals to take 2nd place and in girls singles Ruth Gaite finished 2nd after going 3-1. In mixed doubles the team of Brookelyn Sirmans / Brandon Martinez playing the first time together went 2-1 and finished 5th.

Next tournament will be against the Sandies in Amarillo this Thursday, March 9th.
