PHS Weekly Update

Posted

Even though the weather was less than stellar, it sure was nice to be on Spring Break. Our students and staff have been hard at work for the past seven months and the break was well warranted. Although most of our student body had a week long sabbatical from school, we still had several extracurricular groups representing our community. Lady Harvester Softball played two district games over the break. Apparently, their bats did not get the memo about a “break” as they outscored Hereford and Perryton by a combined 46-1 in these two games. They currently are 12-2 on the season and a perfect 4-0 in district play. This coming week will be full of important games for them as they travel to both Borger and Canyon. Harvester Baseball started district play as well in Hereford then returned home and won in dramatic walk off fashion over Perryton. The victory over Perryton was a great team win for the young squad. PHS Choir got to travel to Orlando, Florida for their annual Spring trip and PHS Band traveled to Branson, Missouri for theirs. This is such a cool experience for so many of our students so a huge thank you goes out to our sponsors for being willing to help with this undertaking. One important thing I wanted to share is Friday March 24th at 2:00 in Canyon, our Harvester Soccer team will take on Mineral Wells in the Bi-District round of the playoffs. We’re so proud of them and wish them luck! I can’t wait to get everyone back on campus for the final push of the 2022-2023 school year. Ten weeks is all we have left until we are packed into Harvester Stadium celebrating the graduating class of 2023! Our time is short and there is still much to do, but I’m so excited to see what we can accomplish before summer. It’s a great day to be a Harvester!
