PHS Weekly Update, 11/28 - 12/2

It was such a blessing to welcome staff and students back to Pampa High School this week. A long Thanksgiving break was definitely a treat. Shout out to the calendar committee for scheduling a week instead of the traditional three days. A huge shout out goes to our eSports team. They are ranked #13 in the state and beat the #4 ranked Houston Stafford team on Thursday in the eSports playoffs of League of Legends to advance to the state quarterfinals. The progress this group has made in the few years since it was started is amazing! Monday night we were able to cap the 2022 Lady Harvester Volleyball season with their banquet. It was so nice to get to celebrate all the accomplishments these young ladies accumulated over this season. They definitely made us proud. Tuesday our basketball teams split as the Lady Harvesters beat a talented Wellington team and the Hustlin’ Harvesters traveled to River Road and returned home victorious. Both the boys and girls spent Thursday through Saturday in Lubbock at the New Home tournament. The Lady Harvesters ended up finishing 3rd place overall at the tournament with Berlin Bartlett being named to the All-tournament team. Our boys and girls wrestlers ended the week by competing at state ranked Randall. Several of our wrestlers finished the first day undefeated in a very tough tournament. We are so proud of our kids and the work our staff has put in thus far to make this year an exciting one for PHS. The months change, the weather changes, but it is always a great day to be a Harvester!
