Police vehicle pursuit in Pampa on Wednesday ends with arrest of one male

On Aug. 11, 2020, Gray County Deputies were conducting surveillance on an area known for narcotics traffic. 

While doing this, a traffic stop was attempted by Deputies and the driver failed to stop. A vehicle pursuit throughout the city limits of Pampa was initiated. 

The driver eventually abandoned the vehicle near the 600 block of North Nelson and fled on foot. The driver entered a home and witnesses told Law Enforcement Officers. 

Access was gained to the residence and a Gray County K-9 unit gave warnings to the suspect inside. The suspect surrendered and was taken into custody without incident. 

Jesus Rodriguez was arrested for an outstanding Parole Violation for Robbery. He was also charged with Evading Arrest or Detention with a Vehicle and Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon for his actions during the vehicle pursuit. 

Gray County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by Pampa Police Department and Texas DPS Troopers.
