Current pro football coach & former Pampa Harvester athlete, John Jenkins, will be back home in August to execute the “COACH JOHN JENKINS BACK TO SCHOOL FUN-FEST” for Pampa’s incoming 5th grade girls and boys. The date for the upcoming event will be on Monday, Aug. 15.
Coach Jenkins will be on hand with a number of his former Pampa teammates, classmates and other gracious volunteers in operating a number of fun-filled rotating station activities for the 5th graders, complete with free gift bags, prizes and award ribbons and certificates for all of the kids. The Fun-Fest will take place at the Pampa City Park on that morning of Aug. 15. Coach Jenkins and his Executive Coordinator of this event, Bobby Marx, has been working in close coordination with Pampa Superintendent of schools, Hugh Piatt, as well as the Pampa Chamber of Commerce Director, Courtney Allison Maxwell in executing this event for the kids and hopes to make it an annual successful event each coming year for the Pampa youths.
Coach Jenkins, in recent years, has operated his Coach John Jenkins Foundation, a non-profit 501(C)(3) operation that executes activities, events, speaking engagements, etc for schools, Christian-based churches and youth programs throughout the nation and internationally. As a long-time veteran football coach he has always been highly active as a spokesperson and significant donor of numerous wholesome selective charities. Additionally , he continues to personally execute his own high-profile passing classics for Quarterbacks and Receivers during his off season time for the improvement and refinement of Quarterbacks / Receivers from the NFL, CFL, college and high school ranks.
