Public Servants Recognized in City Commission Meeting

The City of Pampa held a Commission Meeting on December 12th, which will be the final one of the 2022 year. No citizens signed up to have their public comments heard thus the meeting opened with Police Officer Recognition. Police Chief Lance Richburg first recognized Motor Officer Erica Armentrout for placing first in the 2022 Iron Horse Shoot Out hosted by the Amarillo Police Department. The event, a motorcycle skills and training challenge for law enforcement motor officers and civilian riders, was held on August 4th through the 6th. Officer Armentrout was recognized for her placement in the challenge as well as the work she has conducted in the Pampa Police Department. As well, Police Chief Richburg recognized three Corporals for completing the FBI-LEEDA Trilogy Series. The series, known as “the leadership journey”, consists of three programs: The Supervisor Leadership Institute (SLI),

The Command Leadership Institute (CLI), and The Executive Leadership Institute (ELI). These programs are designed to prepare law enforcement members for leadership positions. Corporal Shawnda Hudgens, Corporal AJ Campos, and Corporal Dallas Cline were presented with the FBI-LEEDA Trilogy Award for completing the series.

Immediately after, City Manager Shane Stokes presented the 2022 Employee Service Awards. These city employees were recognized for their work and long-standing dedication to Pampa. The city employees who were honored were:

The agenda items are as follows:

  Consider approving the minutes of the November 28, 2022, Regular Commission Meeting. - Approved

  Consider excusing the absence of Commissioner Brian Doughty from the October 24, 2022, Regular Meeting. - Approved

• Consider canceling the December 26th Regular Commission Meeting. - Approved

• CONSENT AGENDA: All Consent Agenda items are considered routine in nature by the Commission and will be enacted by one motion. There will be no separate discussion on these items unless a Commissioner so requests, in which event that item will be removed from the Consent Agenda and considered in normal sequence on the Agenda. - Approved

– Consider awarding bid to Duglaus Johnson in the amount of $300.00 for the delinquent tax property located at Lots 3 through 5, Block 5, Wynnlea Addition, commonly known as 615 N. Nelson.

  Consider awarding bid to Gerardo Fernandez in the amount of $500.00 for the delinquent tax property located at Tract D, Suburbs 61, commonly known as 524 S. Somerville.

  Consider awarding bid to Duglaus Johnson in the amount of $750.00 for the delinquent tax property located at Lot 9, Block 1, Hyatt Addition, commonly known as 820 S. Somerville.

– Consider awarding bid to Gerardo Fernandez in the amount of $2,800.00 for the delinquent tax property located at East 90’ of Lots 1 & 2 and all of Lot 3, Block 3, East End Addition, commonly known as 309 N. Warren.

  Consider awarding bid to Duglaus Johnson in the amount of $750.00 for the delinquent tax property located at Lot 3, Block 48, Talley Addition, commonly known as 321 N. Perry.

  Consider awarding bid to Sandra L. Martinez in the amount of $900.00 for the delinquent tax property located at Lots 7 through 12, Block 32, Original Town of Pampa Addition.

  Consider awarding bid to Duglaus Johnson in the amount of $300.00 for the delinquent tax property located at Lot 7, Block 1, Hillcrest Terrace Addition, commonly known as 417 Crest.

• EXECUTIVE SESSION: The City Commission will convene into closed session in accordance with Texas Government Code, Subchapter D, Section 551.087 - Deliberations Regarding Real Property and Section 551.074 – Consultation with Attorney to discuss:

– Acquisition of real property

– Pending or contemplated litigation

With that, the final City Commission Meeting came to an end. The next City Commission Meeting will be January 9th, 2023.
