The Old Mobeetie Museum will be hosting the Hidetown Labor Day Festival and Reunion on Labor Day weekend, Friday, September 3 through Monday, September 6. Many activities are planned to entertain families over the course of the festival, including a quilt show, Kenneth Wyatt paintings for sale, a talent show, a 5K run, a parade, kids games and events, craft booths, school reunion, barbeque and steak cook offs, cowboy poetry, and corn hole tournament.

A Quilt Show will be held at the Old Mobeetie Museum Visitor’s Center from Friday, September 3, to Monday, September 6. All quilt show entries are due at the museum on Monday, August 23, between 1-5 p.m. and must be accompanied by a completed quilt show entry form.

All quilts must be labeled on the back with the name of the quilt owner and their phone number. A sleeve for hanging the quilt must be made and attached to the top of the quilt back. Instructions for making a quilt sleeve are available online or when you obtain a quilt entry form. For more information, please contact Janie VanZandt at 806-845-2101 or 806-663-3402.
