Rosie Mae Kirklin, 80, of Elk City, Oklahoma, and formerly of Pampa, passed away on Sunday, October 30, 2022, in Elk City.

Graveside services will be at 10:00 AM, Friday, November 4, 2022, at Memory Gardens Cemetery with Rev. Norman Rushing, pastor of Central Baptist Church, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors and Crematory.

Rosie was born on December 11, 1941, in Pampa to Kermit William and Eva Mae Hartley. She grew up and attended school in Pampa. A few years later, Rosie met and married Lonnie Kirklin. The two spent many years together and raised three children, before he preceded her in death in 1994.

Later in life, Rosie furthered her education and became a CNA. She worked at Coronado Nursing Center and was a home health nurse for many years. She loved to help the elderly and take care of those in need. Outside of work, Rosie had several hobbies, including listening to music, watching TV, gardening, and spending time with her family. Rosie loved her family and cherished every minute with them. She will be greatly missed.

Rosie was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Steven Kirklin; a daughter, Connie Sue Kirklin; a sister, Dorothy Dumas; and two brothers, Kenneth Hartley and Robert Hartley.

She is survived by son, Lonnie Wayne Kirklin of Alabama; daughter, Deborah Kirklin of Elk City, Oklahoma; five grandchildren, Omar Kirklinof Amarillo, Steveie Contreraz of Hereford, Raven Chaney, Savannah Chaney, and Dejah Kirklin, all of Pampa; and great-grandchild, Za’Myra Kirklin Fowler of Pampa.
