On January 27, 2022 Ruben Baggerman left this earth to be with the love of his life Lora Ester in heaven.

Graveside services will be 2:00 PM, Monday, January 31, 2022 at Fairview Cemetery in Pampa with Franklin McDonough, officiating. Arrangements and burial are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors and Crematory.

Ruben was the 5th born of 11 children in Gray County, Texas to John Antony Baggerman and Mirtie “Odell” Stokes Baggerman on October 27th, 1933 in the Baggerman Home Place. He graduated from Pampa High School in 1954 where he met Lora Ester Alexander who became his wife on January 31, 1954. He and his wife were lifelong Hereford Cattle ranchers and farmers in Gray, Carson and Wheeler County. They raised four children Isaac, Margie, Teresa and John Mark in southwest Gray County.

Ruben was preceded in death by his wife Lora Ester on August 4, 2014, a son, Isaac Ruben Baggerman II; three brothers, Johnny Baggerman, Vernon Baggerman, Franklin Baggerman; four sisters, Carolyn “Sissy” Baggerman Couts, Mildred Baggerman Miller, Margaret Baggerman Whatley and Irene Baggerman; and son-in-law, Butch McKelvey (of Lubbock).

He is survived by three children, Margie Baggerman Anthony and husband Stan (of Groom), Teresa Baggerman McKelvey (of Lubbock), John Mark Baggerman and wife Lora S.(of Pampa); nine grandchildren, Isaac R Baggerman III (Colorado Springs), John D Baggerman (of Lubbock), Renee’ Anthony (of Groom), Melissa Anthony and Andy York (of Colorado Springs), Mandi McKelvey, Jonni McKelvey, Brice McKelvey and fiancée Kayla Spann (of Lubbock), Jessica Baggerman (of Huntington, Indiana) and Ty Baggerman and wife Kayley (of Groom); three great-grandchildren, Tristan Anthony (of Groom), Maddi Baggerman and Halli Baggerman (both of Groom); a sister, Roselle Collingsworth (of Pampa); two brothers, James Baggerman (of Mt. Pleasant) and Nace Baggerman (of Claude); numerous nieces, nephews, and grand-nieces and nephews; and by his lifelong friends, Clifford Fraser of Groom and Darrel and Judy Davis of Pampa.

For decades, Ruben supported youth groups in Gray County, the Grandview Hopkins ISD Community Annual BBQ, and the Methodist Church in Groom. Memorials can be sent to any Gray County Youth Group or the Groom Methodist Church.

The family would like to extend loving gratitude to Ruben’s caregivers: Lorena Rodriguez and Tasha Triplett.

His Pallbearers will be:
