Russel Gene Coiner, 76, of Pampa, passed away on Saturday, May 15, 2021 in Amarillo.
Memorial services were 10:00 AM, Tuesday, May 18, 2021 at the Frost Street Refuge with Pastor Grant Johnson, pastor, officiating. Cremation & arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.
Viewing will be held on Monday, May 17, 2021 at Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
Russel was born on June 18, 1944 in Forsyth, Missouri to Andrew Jackson Coiner, Jr. and Josephine Moore Coiner-Rowland. He married Linda Bingham on December 26, 1972 in Miami, Oklahoma. Russel and Linda moved to Pampa in 2016. He was a member of the Frost Street Refuge. Russel enjoyed fishing, hunting, spending time with his family, and riding on his boat. He will be remembered as a good man with a kind heart that was always willing to help anyone in need.
Russel was preceded in death by his grandparents, Andrew and Bertha Coiner, Sr.; his parents; and a sister.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Coiner of the home; 5 children, Paula Beaumont and husband Steve of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Paul Coiner of Lincoln, Nebraska, Alan McCollum and wife Christy of Pampa, Brian McCollum and wife Kristal of Amarillo, and Jamie Bender and husband Thomas of Hastings, Nebraska; 3 siblings, Darnell Payne of Chicago, Illinois, Sue Coiner of Strafford, Missouri, and Kitty Shubert of Las Vegas, Nevada; 13 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren with one on the way.
