Aaron Zachary Sackett was sentenced to 30 years in an institutional division of the Texas Department of Criminal Justice according to documents filed on Sept. 25 in the 223rd Judicial District Court. Sackett was also convicted of aggravated robbery.
The charges date back to the 2018 murder of then 24-year-old Stephen Henry Spencer and the stabbing/ robbery of an Allsup’s clerk.
The following cases were also filed in the 223rd Judicial District Court:
• In a judgment revoking community supervision without hearing, David Moreno Castaneda was sentenced to 180 days confinement in state jail (TDCJ) for possession of a controlled substance penalty group one less than one gram. Castaneda had two charges for this.
• In an order of deferred adjudication, Luis Alberto Cruz was placed on three years of community supervision for prohibited substance/item in a correctional/civil community facility.
• In a judgment of conviction by the court, Jason Dejon Ellis a.k.a. Jason Deion Ellis, was sentenced to two years institutional division (TDCJ) for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
• In a judgment adjudicated guilt, Stacey Valles was sentenced to 180 days state jail (TDCJ) for unauthorized use of a motor-vehicle.
• In a judgment revoking community supervision, Michael Le’Cendric Simmons was sentenced to four years confinement institutional division for tampering/fabricating physical evidence with intent to impair.
• In a judgment of conviction by the court, Brittany Elizabeth Lott was sentenced to 10 years institutional division for assault on a public servant.
• In a judgment of conviction by the court, Marisa Ramirez was sentenced to 187 days state jail division (TDCJ) for possession of a controlled substance penalty group one less than one gram. Ramirez was also sentenced to 180 days Gray County Jail for assault causing bodily injury.
