With four years in the making, Winegeart Funeral Home will be in a new location beginning May 1st.

In celebration of moving to a new facility, located on 300 W. Browning Ave., Alana Winegeart, the Owner and Funeral Director of Winegeart Funeral Home, will be hosting a grand opening on Saturday, April 29th, from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm.

Winegeart was born and raised in Pampa. She graduated from high school in 1989 and got married to her husband, William Winegeart, in 1999. In the following years, the Winegearts had three wonderful children and moved to Borger. While there, Winegeart worked full-time for Minton-Chatwell Funeral Directors and attended mortuary school full-time at Amarillo College. Eventually, the Winegeart family moved to Beaumont on account of her husband’s job transfer. Winegeart continued to work at funeral homes there until the family returned back to Pampa. In July of 2015, Winegeart took sole ownership of Winegeart Funeral Home.

Winegeart expressed her excitement about moving into the new facility.

“I am very excited. It is such a big facility. We will have a state-of-the-art preparation room, a chapel, a fellowship hall, and a kitchen,” Winegeart said. “We are looking forward to it but it is going to be new - new everything - for us. We are used to being in a small, enclosed space. It will be an adjustment.”

The majority of the renovation work in the new facility has been done by Winegeart and her circle of family and friends.

“Most of the work has been done by me, my family, and close friends,” Winegeart said. “On top of our regular work schedules, we would be working on the new facility in the evenings and weekends.”

Throughout the event, the community is invited to have self-guided tours of the new facility. The preparation room, chapel, fellowship hall, and kitchen will be open for viewing pleasure.

“During the grand opening, we will have light refreshments and will be handing out pamphlets with information about our services,” Winegeart said. “We will have door prizes so there will be periodic drawings throughout the day.”

The entire staff of Winegeart Funeral Home will be available and their families will be in attendance.

“We want to meet and greet. We want people to see our new location.  We want them to walk through and see what we have to offer,” Winegeart said.

The theme for the grand opening is centered around Winegeart Funeral Home’s core principle “Honoring the Past and Celebrating the Future”.

Winegeart explains the reason behind the principle

“Since 2015, those families who have put their trust in us thus far is what has led us into this growth and has got us to where we are at,” Winegeart said. “We want to be reverent to the ones who have trusted us thus far and projected us into the future.”

A wall of remembrance will be featured in the new facility. The wall will honor each person that Winegeart Funeral Home has taken care of thus far.

As well, the first service in the new facility’s chapel will be a memorial service to Aline Winegeart.

“My husband’s grandmother, Aline, passed away in 2020 during the height of covid. At that time, we could only have a service with a limited amount of people,” Winegeart said. “Now that we are having a grand opening, we are having a memorial service in her honor in the chapel.”

Winegeart expresses her sincerest appreciation for the support she has received.

“First and foremost, I’d like to thank my husband. He has been my rock and my pushing force. He keeps me directed,” Winegeart said. “I give thanks to God, my husband, and my family for their support. As well, I give thanks to our staff. They have been tremendous to work with.”
