Texas A&M AgriLife Extension would like to recognize Brycen Epperson and Tony Soria, 4-H State GLOBE Leadership Ambassador and Healthy Texas Youth Ambassador and respectively, for spearheading the Souper Bowl of Caring Food Drive. They collected an impressive 1113 cans and boxes of food as well as $274 in cash donations to benefit South Side Senior Citizens. A special thanks goes out to Community Christian School who donated 630 cans alone! We’d also like thank Gray County 4-H members, Hi-Land Christian Church, Highland Baptist Church and St Paul United Methodist Churches for their generous contributions. Lastly we’d like thank United Supermarket who allowed us to collect the items at the store. This was a tremendous effort by all involved!
