W. Wayne Brooks, 97, of Pampa was united with his wife, Lois in heaven on June 13, 2021.

Services will be 10:00 AM Wednesday, June 16, 2021 at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel with Herb Smith and Warren Chisum officiating.  Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.  The service will be livestreamed through funeral home website.

Mr. Brooks was born August 21, 1923 in Potosi, Texas to Fay and Chloe Brooks.  He joined the US Navy to serve his country during WWII.  While stationed in California he met his beloved Lois.  They married November 16, 1947 in Weatherford, Texas and made their home in Pampa, Texas that same year.

Wayne worked several years at Electric Supply before establishing B & G Electric in 1967 and became a Master Electrician.  He enjoyed his work, mentoring employees and caring for his family.  He sold the business in 1999 retiring to pursue oil & gas producing with L & W Operators. Wayne was an honest and hard-working man that is described by many as being steadfast to his principles and as someone who led by example never asking something of others, he would not do himself.  His love and devotion for his family provided an anchor across generations. 

Wayne is survived by his five daughters, Pamela Brooks Cutlip of Slidell, Louisiana, Pyllis Dominey and husband Frank, Marcella Brooks, and Belinda Waldrip and husband Royce, all of Pampa, and Annette Wallace and husband Randy of Highland Village, Tx; a sister-in-law, Jackie Bloise and husband Al of Paradise, California; nine grandchildren, Sheri Collins, Debbie Collins, Greg Poole and wife Marsha, Brandy Hood, Judd Atchley and wife Pam, Katina Atchley, Bryan Waldrip and wife Mandy, Morgan Schaaf and husband Tyler, and Brooks Wallace; and 13 great-grandchildren with one on the way and two great- great children with one on the way.

Wayne was preceded in death by his wife, Lois; son-in-law, Hal Cutlip; grandson, Shane Kennedy, his parents, four brothers and four sisters.
