Walter Franklin Miller, 81, of Pampa, passed away on Wednesday, September 28, 2021 in Pampa.

No services scheduled at this time. Arrangement and cremation are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.

Walter was born on November 26, 1939 in Pampa, Texas, to George and Katherine Miller. He grew up and attended schools in Pampa, graduating from Pampa High School in 1957. After school, he joined the Army, serving during the Vietnam War. When he eventually left the Army, Walter worked in many different professions. His most recent job was volunteering at the Freedom Museum. He had a great love for the military and veterans.

In his spare time, Walter had several hobbies. He loved to read and watch all kinds of Westerns or watch wrestling on tv. He also enjoyed watching and drawing trains.

Walter was preceded in death by his parents and special friend, Lynda Culberson.

He is survived by two stepdaughters, Carol Norton and husband Keith of Pampa, and Stacy Pierce of Bartlesville, Oklahoma; stepson, Jerry Pierce and Tina of Claremore, Oklahoma; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
