LUBBOCK, Texas, September 9, 2021 What is Conservation Charcuterie, you ask? It’s a virtual experience you don’t want to miss designed to connect people who love food and the farmers that grow their food. The Water Grows Initiative is hosting this FREE virtual event on September 16, 2021 at 6 p.m.
REGISTER for Conservation Charcuterie today at watergrows.org/charcuterie, and join celebrity chef and former NFL player Eddie Jackson (www.fitchefeddie.com) alongside charcuterie artist Dana Anthony with Occasionally Board (http://www.instagram.com/occasionallyboard.com) from the comfort of your home. Let them walk you through the steps to build a board of Texas-made food with Texas farmers. While you learn to build the board with delicious food, you’ll meet farmers from across the state and hear what goes into growing the quality food you enjoy every day. You’ll walk away with a charcuterie board that’s the conversation piece your guests will be raving about!
The purpose of this event is to provide an insightful virtual experience to those who have an interest in where their food comes from and how it’s produced, including online influencers, media and other Texans who are generations removed from our agricultural roots. Participants will gain a greater understanding of the sustainable farming practices in Texas, including water conservation and technological advancements used to benefit the climate and environment.
This effort is a partnership of Texas Corn Producers (TCP) with the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Natural Resources Conservation Ser-vice (NRCS) in Texas, which works to share how farmers are actively working to conserve our natural resources, through a variety of ways.
