Peggy Williams, 90, longtime resident of Pampa, passed away Friday, March 29, 2024 in Amarillo surrounded by her loving family.

Services are scheduled for 2:00 PM on Monday, April 1, 2024 at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel with Rev. Norman Rushing, officiating.

Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors and Crematory.

Peggy was born April 9, 1933, in Randlett, Oklahoma to Lloyd and Kaby Guerry.

She attended Temple School and graduated from Temple High School.

In 1951, Peggy moved to Pampa where she met and married DeWey Cudney on October 30, 1953. They were married for twenty-four years until his passing on May 9, 1978.

Peggy worked as a loan secretary for First National Bank for thirty years until she retired.

Later in life, she met D.P. Williams, and they were married on August 23, 1997, until his passing in 2017.

Peggy had a great compassion for animals, having never met a cat or a dog that she didn’t get along with.

She was a loving mother and grandmother, always willing to do anything for her family.

Peggy was a devoted follower of Christ and a faithful member of Central Baptist Church.

Peggy is preceded in death by her husband, DeWey Cudney; daughter, Kathy Black; son-in-law, Toddy Black; parents, Lloyd and Kaby Guerry; husband, D.P. Williams.

Peggy is survived by her son, Gary Cudney and wife Gaye of Amarillo; grandchildren, Ryan Black of Enid, Oklahoma, Colby Cudney of San Antonio, Corey Cudney of Austin, Matt Lichtie of Amarillo, Keith Lichtie and wife Kourtney of Amarillo, and Angela Shevchenko and husband Kirill of Amarillo; and seven great-grandchildren.
