Top O’ Texas Republican Women Provide Care Packages for First Responders

Posted

On Thursday, February 29, the Top of Texas Republican Women of Pampa came together and provided items for care packages that were distributed to Pampa’s first responders after the devastating wildfires that ravaged the Panhandle last Monday and Tuesday as part of their Leap of Kindness Day.

Organized by Jo Karbo, Pat Duggan, Cathy Scribner and Marci Welborn, the Leap of Kindness Day was a community outreach project where nearly 40 members of the Top of Texas Republican Women planned a day to give to those in need during this leap year.

Those women provided necessities to build baskets that were distributed to the Pampa Fire Department, Hoover Volunteer Fire Department, Lefors Fire Department, McLean Fire Department, Pampa Police Department, Gray County Sheriff’s Office and the Gray County Texas Department of Public Safety.

The baskets included items such as snacks, water, sunscreen and lip balm just to name a few.

The love and support shown to our brave first responders and community during times of crisis is what makes the Texas Panhandle the best little section of this country.
