This year’s 2023 Tour of Homes, hosted by the Twentieth Century Cotillion Study Club, will feature three homes including the Alvey Home, the Sutton Home and the Nelson Home.
The Tour will be hosted on Sunday, December 10 from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m. Tickets are $10 each and can be purchased at the door of the homes on the day of the tour, or early from any member of the Tewntieth Century Cotillion Study Club. All proceeds will benefit The Opportunity Plan, Inc.
The Alvey Home, located at 2530 Duncan, was built in 1956 and purchased by the Alveys in 2019 after their family home of 18 years was lost to a fire.
The Alveys state that the home is a blessing, allowing them to expand just in time for grandchildren to start arriving in their lives.
“This year’s theme is ‘let’s make Christmas tacky again’,” Misty Alvey laughed.
“I just can’t do an aesthetic Christmas.”
