Alberto Gonzales, 79, of Booker, Texas passed away peacefully Saturday, February 3, 2024, in Booker, surrounded by his family.
A Funeral Service is scheduled for Tuesday February 6, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Booker, Texas with Pastor Kevin Wauer officiating.
Burial will follow at Heart Cemetery. Viewing/visitation will be Sunday (02/04/24) from 1:00 p.m.- 9:00 p.m. and Monday (02/05/23) from 9:00 a.m.- 9:00 p.m. at Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home in Perryton.
Funeral arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home, Inc. of Perryton, Texas.
Mr. Gonzales was born on April 3, 1944, in Rocksprings, Texas to Leandro and Maria (Franco) Gonzales.
He married Paula Fernandez on June 9, 1960, in Rocksprings, Texas.
Alberto will be remembered as an amazing family man.
His family was everything to him.
He loved his Dallas Cowboys.
He enjoyed going fishing and loved his roosters and his little dog Blackie.
Alberto is survived by his wife, Paula Gonzales of the home; son, Alberto Jr. Gonzales of Darrouzett, Texas; daughters, Delma Sanchez and husband Javier of Pampa, Texas, Norma Beltran of Tomball, Texas, Annaberta Guerrero and husband Valente of Garden City, Kansas, Lydia Ontiveros and husband Joel of Pampa, Texas, Graciela Perez of Dumas, Texas, and Gloria Gonzalez and husband Javier of Booker, Texas; brother, Richard Gonzales and wife Beatrice of Booker, Texas; sisters, Marisela Gonzales of Booker, Texas, Mary Ramos and husband Tony of Dalhart, Texas, and Elisa Garcia and husband Mario of Dalhart, Texas.
He is also survived by twenty-six grandchildren, seventy-four great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren.
Mr. Gonzales was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Belia Ruiz and Sylvia Aguirre; brother, Leandro Jr. Gonzales; great-granddaughters, Jahnessa Juarez, Emily Hernandez, London Cortez and Babygirl Mendoza; great-grandson, Isaac Mendoza.
