Alice Marie Whinery, 91, of Pampa, passed away, November 20, 2022, in Pampa.

Graveside services will be 2:00 PM, Friday, November 25, 2022, at the Memory Gardens Cemetery with Rev. Norman Rushing, pastor of Central Baptist Church, officiating. Burial and arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors and Crematory.

Alice was born on April 12, 1931, in Pawhuska, OK to Gertie and John Wadsworth. She grew up and attended school in Pawhuska. She later met and married Orville Whinery, Sr., and they married on September 16, 1946, in Pawhuska, Oklahoma and they shared almost 74 years before his passing on August 24, 2020.

Alice enjoyed working in her garden and loved flowers. She also found enjoyment spending time with her husband, Orville, especially when he would read his bible to her. Alice was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, and she will be greatly missed by all of her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; three daughters, Letha Adams, Mary Couch, and Kathryn Harvey; several brothers & sisters; a grandson, Mikey Anderson; two great-granddaughters, Alice Marie Taylor and Meredith Parks.

Her survivors include, 2 daughters, Barbara Jean Owen of Amarillo, and Linda Mae Crocker and husband Dwight of Pampa; 2 sons, Johnnie Whinery and wife Pam, and Orville Whinery, Jr. and wife Robin, all of Pampa; a brother, Lloyd Wadsworth and wife Roberta of Pampa; three sisters, Thelma Morledge, Mary Decker, and Judy Albright, all of Pawhuska, OK; two sons-in-law, Al Couch, and Jack Adams, both of Pampa; 22 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and other extended family.
