Blessing of the Backpacks and Picnic in the Parlor
First Presbyterian Church of Pampa, Texas, cordially invites the community to participate in our traditional “blessing of the backpacks.”
This is a yearly event that takes place the Sunday prior to the first day of school. Parents bring their school-age children (along with each child’s backpack) to the regular morning church service and a special prayer of blessing will be prayed for the coming school year.
This year a hamburger and hotdog fellowship meal will take place after the worship services in the parlor of the church and all attending the blessing of the backpacks are encouraged to attend.
After lunch games will be provided for the kids.
