After graduating, Dale went into trade school to become a welder.

This accident did not slow him down and he later settled in with Bartlett’s Lumber & Hardware company.

During his 20 plus year tenure with Bartlett’s, Dale helped countless customers and made many friends along the way.

He enjoyed going to the lake and loved to fish.

Dale also highly appreciated sports and was an avid Chicago Cubs and Dallas Cowboys fan.

However, his family, especially the grandchildren were his pride and joy.

Dale will be remembered as a giving man who had a terrific sense of humor who will be greatly missed by all those who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his father; by two sisters, Kathy Williams, and Eva Christine Moman; and by two brothers-in-law, Stretch Williams, and Danny Moman.

Dale is survived by his two sons, Zach Ferris and wife Liz of Amarillo, and Timothy Dale Ferris of Pampa; three grandchildren, AshLynn Ferris, Cayden Ferris, and Kylie Ferris, all of Amarillo; mother, Clessie Ferris of Pampa; a brother Bruce Ferris and wife Ginger of Pampa; numerous nieces, nephews, and many friends.
