Elda Janette “Jan” Trimble, 81, of Pampa, passed away on October 21, 2022 in McLean.

Services are pending with Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Director and Crematory.

Jan was born on February 7, 1941 in Albuquerque, New Mexico to Ray and Laura Mae Tucker. She graduated from Palo Duro High School in Amarillo. After high school, she went to cosmetology school and was a hairdresser for over 10 years. She also worked for her father, in the family business, for many years while in Amarillo. In 1973, she married the love of her life, David “Dave” Trimble, he passed away on September 10, 2014. They move to Pampa in 1986.

At the age of 45, Jan had the courage to go back to college and earn her LVN degree from Frank Phillips College. She worked with home health and various nursing homes in Pampa and the surrounding area. Working for McLean Nursing Home for almost 17 years and up until June of this year, she was working for Clarendon Nursing Home. Jan enjoyed going to Rodeos, especially watching her grandson ride bulls. She was a caretaker, not only for her patients, but for her family as well. Jan was the glue to held her family together and she loved them unconditionally.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Margie Don Putman; three brothers, Gid Tucker, Terry Tucker, and Rex Tucker.

Survivors include her daughter, Dreamia Klein and husband Roger of Pampa; a son, Britt Wright and Melodi Gregg of Lubbock; a sister, Sherry Tucker of Amarillo; four grandchildren, Hawk Tucker, Ronnie “Hoot” Tucker, Cameron Klein, and Andrew Klein and wife Charity all of Pampa; five great grandchildren, Tylee Tucker, Hayden Klein, Kadence Davis, Oliver Klein, and Kalyssa Klein.
