Endeavor Games UCO was created in 2009. The Endeavor Games UCO are held the second weekend of June. There are all ages from 2 to 90 years of age with all kinds of disabilities and from all over the world come to Edmond Oklahoma to compete.
There are many events that the athletes can compete in, including; shot put, javelin, discus, swimming, goalball, table tennis, basketball, softball, cycling, seated volleyball, long jump, 5K, 1500, 800, 400, 200, 100, powerlifting, indoor and outdoor archery, air rifle.
They get the weekend started off with a welcome party, where there are vendors, sponsors, food, even Rockwall climbing. Each year the games are a special Theme. This year it was “The Movies”.
Emma Searl
Emma Searl has been competing since 2015. This year she competed in the 100 and 200 meter races, shot put, javelin, indoor and outdoor archery and air rifle. Emma brought home a Gold Medal in Shot Put and Javelin and a Bronze Medal in the 100 meter race. Emma looks forward to the Endeavor Games every year.
We want to thank all of those that sponsored her and gave towards the expenses to get there. Thank you Brad Pingle for allowing us to use your trailer to haul her equipment. If you ever get the opportunity to go to the Endeavor Games you will be blessed. The athletes love it to compete and so many new friendships are made.
Avery Ferguson
Avery Ferguson, who 16 years old, will be a sophomore in 2023-24 school year. After competing at State track and field this year, he went to The Endeavor Games in Edmund Oklahoma from June 8th-June 11th.
This was Avery’s first time at the Endeavor Games. He competed in 8 events, won 3 bronze and 1 silver. The silver was for 100 meter dash track event. The bronze medals were for Shotput, Javelin and Discus.
This was also the first time Avery ever competed in Javelin and discus.
There were 250 athletes at the Endeavor Games this year. Athletes range from youth to adults, including Military Veterans.
Athletes are classified by age and abilities and compete against others in the same classes.
