On Saturday, September 9, 2023 at 6:45 P.M. on I-40 one and a half mile east of Conway, Joshuea Ethridge, 49, of Amarillo, was westbound on I-40 at a curve in the roadway riding a 2006 Yamaha XVA Motorcycle.
For unknown reasons, the operator lost control of the motorcycle. Road conditions were dry and paved. The motorcycle landed on its right side, flipped over onto its left side, and slid several yards before resting on its left side in the westbound lane.
Ethridge was transported to Amarillo Northwest Texas Hospital with life-threatening injuries, later dying from the injuries sustained in the crash. He was pronounced deceased on 9-11-23 at the hospital by the Potter County Justice of the Peace, Gary Jackson.
