Gerald Dean Reagan, 79 years of age, of Pampa, Texas, peacefully passed away in her home while her son sat at her side early on the morning of Wednesday, February 8, 2023. She was born on January 16, 1944, in Guthrie, Oklahoma to Randolph and Celia Raines.
The Raines family moved to Pampa from Guthrie about 75 years ago and it quickly became home. She attended school starting out at Horace Mann Elementary school, then to Pampa Junior High and on to Pampa High School; however, in 1958, Gerald Dean and her sweetheart, Jerry Reagan decided to start their lifelong journey together. They were married at the Worley Hospital due to her daddy being a patient and he had to witness their exchange of vows. No two people were more in love with each other!
According to Gerald Dean, her four greatest achievements in life were first and foremost, being a child of the King, the wife of a loving and devoted husband, the mother to three ornery boys and the Nanny to a vast number of kiddos! She didn’t know a stranger and her house was always open.
Blessed with an amazing gift of drawing, painting, and even clay sculpting, Gerald Dean loved to express herself through her art. Some of her pieces are on display in the M.K. Brown Plaza and countless hairbows that have adorned ponytails celebrating school spirit all across the area that she added her personal flair to. Her love for kids was evident through her dedication and teaching Vacation Bible School for many years at her church home. Her smile and disposition will be missed by all whose lives she touched.
She was greeted at Heaven’s gates by her beloved parents; her husband and soul mate, Jerry Reagan; three sons, Jerry Wayne Reagan, Phillip Reagan, Johnny Reagan; a sister, Maudie Aldridge and a brother, Troy Raines.
Those left to mourn her loss are a son, Danny Reagan of Thrall, TX; a sister, Dorothy Welch and husband Willie of Barnsdall, OK; 12 grandchildren, Amber Childress, Jordan Reagan, Brittany Sanders, Payton Reagan, Morgan Reagan, Braxton Reagan, Logan Reagan, Hayden Reagan, Thomas Reagan, Olivia Reagan, Johnny Earl Reagan, Gatlin Reagan as well as numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members who will miss her dearly.
Should donations be a preference, the family requests they be made to her church home, Central Baptist Church, 513 E Francis Avenue, Pampa, TX 79065 in Gerald Dean’s memory.
The family will be hosting Celebration of Life Memorial services at 3:00 pm, Saturday, February 18, 2023, at Central Baptist Church with Pastor Norman Rushing officiating. The family has entrusted the cremation care of their loved one to Winegeart Funeral Home.
