Glo-Valve knocks off LVFD

The Glo-Valve Service Dodgers continued their winning ways with a 16-3 win over the Lefors Volunteer Fire Department Friday in Pampa Optimist 11-12 Cal Ripken League action.

David Buendia led a 10 hit Glo-Valve attack going three for three, including a double, three runs scored and four RBIs. Hagen Hudson also scored three runs for Glo-Valve.

He had one hit and two RBIs. Carter McLaughlin and Easton Willis made two runs each on a single hit. Waylon Huffman, Aiden Hammond, Weston Jones, Trip Clark,

Robert Kreyling, Jace Ruiz and Danny Macado contributed a run each. Clark was two for three with one RBI. Hammond was one for two with one RBI. Kreyling was one for two.

Adrian Ryan, Tyler Howard and Bradley Laurenz scored runs for Lefors. Howard made the only hit for Lefors, sending a RBI single to center that scored Ryan.

Trace Coombs made the defensive play of the game for Lefors by taking a relay from the outfield at second base and throwing to Laurenz at home to catch a Glo-Valve runner trying to score from first on a single. Adrian Ryan, at third for Lefors, fielded a ground ball and made the long throw to his brother, Kenneth, at first for a second defensive gem for Lefors.

Glo-Valve had a pair of outstanding defensive plays. Hudson field a ground ball at second, tagged the runner and threw to Willis at first for a 4-3 double play. Willis captured an errant throw and fired to Clark blocking the plate at home to nip a runner sliding in.

McLaughlin picked up his third win of the season for Glo-Valve against no losses striking out three and walking one in one inning. He did not allow a run nor a hit and left  the mound with a 9-0 lead. Willis struck out two and walked one in relief of McLaughlin. Hudson gave up a hit and two earned runs. He walked two and struck out one.

Buendia finished up for Glo-Valve. He did not allow a run nor a hit but walked two.

Howard pitched a complete game for Lefors.
