Goldia Lou Ward, 83, of Pampa, passed away on May 7, 2022 at her home in Pampa.
Services will be at 2:00 PM Saturday, May 14, 2022 at Mary Ellen & Harvester Church of Christ with Keith Feerer, officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors and Crematory.
Goldia was born May 15, 1938 in Nacona to Glen and Nannie Jewel Farris. She married Simon Ward on January 27, 1957 in Canute, Oklahoma, he preceded her in death on August 2, 1998. Goldia has lived in Pampa since 1971 where she was homemaker and a very talented seamstress. She has been a member of Mary Ellen & Harvester Church of Christ since 1971 and was very active in the clothing closet and always helped out with benevolent meals. Goldia was committed to her church and served anywhere she was needed. She also loved watching OU football games with her family, especially when they could all be together. Goldia was a graceful woman who loved deep and will be missed by many.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, David Farris.
Survivors include her 2 sons, Bobby Ward and Billy Ward both of Woodward, Oklahoma; 4 grandchildren, Brett Ward of Amarillo, Megan Hogue and husband Chase of Woodward, Oklahoma, Tucker Ward and wife Krista of Canyon, and Conner Jones Ward of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; 4 great grandchildren, Dayson Saenz, Treyson Ward, Tatum Ward, and Lincoln Ward; 2 brothers, Tommy Farris of Austin and Weldon Farris of Rogers, Arkansas; and a brother-in-law, Chester Ward of Fort Cobb, Oklahoma.
