The Pampa Hustlin’ Harvesters (14-9, 3-1) fell to the Randall Raiders on Tuesday 88-44.

Despite suffering their first district loss against the State’s second-ranked team in 4A, Head Coach Braydon Barker remains positive.

“We knew going in this would be a very tough game,” Head Coach Braydon Barker said. “We were short handed as well, so that definitely didn’t help. I just preached to the guys after the game that we are still 3-1 in District and to stay positive.”

Junior Dalton Booth scored 22 points with two threes, three rebounds, five assists, four deflections, three steals and went 4-5 in free throws; Senior Julian Alonzo had 10 points with four rebounds, seven deflections and two steals; Junior Jose Alonzo had five points, one three, two rebounds, a deflection, two steals and went 1-3 from the charity stripe; Junior Bryce Lynn had four points, six rebounds, two assists, two deflections and two steals; Kyler Peet had two points, four rebounds and three assists; freshman Aaron Martinez had two points, four rebounds, an assist, four deflections and one steal.

As the Harvesters have been somewhat injury depleted, Barker has been pleased with how junior Kyler Peet has performed coming off the bench.

“Kyler is always ready when his number is called,” Barker said. “He is a great teammate and always works hard. Without Tristan (Bagwell) and Parker (Webb), he was able to get the start and battled Randall’s big man as well as he could the entire game.”

The Harvesters took the road on Friday as they traveled to Dumas. Dumas had a huge win over Canyon, so the Harvesters had the task of stopping the Demons’ momentum. That game might have been moved due to weather.

“Dumas beat Canyon last week by 13, so they are playing really well,” Barker said. “Dumas is always a tough place to play as well. Defensively, they try to press and trap all over the court. It will be extremely important for us to handle the ball and not turn the ball over.”
