Kayla Michelle Green, of Pampa, Texas, passed peacefully while in deep slumber to awaken in the presence of our Savior’s glory on the morning of Thursday, December 11, 2025, at the age of 34 years old.

She was born in Childress, Texas on May 23, 1991, to Michael Green and Diana Lindsey.

While growing up, Kayla attended schools in Wellington, Sam Norwood and finally Granite, Oklahoma where she graduated and later earned her CNA license. She had been employed as security for APS in Amarillo for a stint before moving to Pampa to help care for her mother and starting work as a prison guard at the Jordan Unit for TDCJ for the past four years.

One to always partake in selfies and social media, Kayla spent hours upon hours socializing and “catching up” through her social media streams. She also played various games on her computer as well as on her phone. Kayla was a hard worker and never turned down an opportunity to work overtime, but when she wasn’t working, she was at home with family. Despite her quiet demeanor, her vibrant red hair and strong personality ensured she took charge wherever she went.

Those who were anxiously awaiting her arrival into Heaven are her grandparents, Martha and John Green, Bill and Nancy Lindsey; her dad, Michael Green and her sister, Lacey Ky-Ann Green.

She will be cherished and greatly missed by her mother, Diana Lindsey-Torres of Pampa; a brother, Patric Green of Pampa; two aunts, Danielle Morgan and husband Scott of Amarillo and DeJon Wynn of South Dakota as well as numerous cousins who will miss her greatly.

Honoring Kayla’s wishes, no funeral services will be held. The family has entrusted her cremation care to Winegeart Funeral Home. To share memories and offer condolences, please visit Kayla’s Book of Memories at www.winegeartfuneral.com.
