The Pampa Lady Harvesters won their third playoff game in team history Tuesday with a 51-42 win over Greenwood in the Bi-District Round of the playoffs.

“Honestly, it’s pretty neat,” Head Coach Clint Watson said. “But, we aren’t focused on that. We are just focused on doing what we need to do in order to keep playing basketball. The girls are determined and ready for the next challenge. We got to celebrate the bi-district win, but now it’s on to preparing for Clint.”

Senior Cambree Dyer led the team in scoring with 19 points off three treys and went 4-5 in free throws; Senior Berlin Bartlett had 14 points with one three and was 4-10 from the stripe; Senior Briley Daniels had 11 points with two threes and was 3-6 in free throws and Sophomore Kenna Kotara had seven points and was 3-4 in free throws.

Having the three seniors in double-digits for the Lady Harvesters, proves the hard work the Lady Harvesters put in week in, week out.

“It’s huge,” Watson said. “They are the leaders and captains for a reason. Big time players rise up in big time moments. We’ve pretty much been in a win or go home situation since January 24. Those three have played a lot of games in the Lady Harvester uniform and they aren’t ready for that to stop. They do an excellent job of setting the tone early in the game.”

The Lady Harvesters took on Clint in Midland on Friday evening in the area round of the playoffs. Watson said he is not concerned about the impact of the long road trip.

“We are kind of used to long road trips,” Watson said. “We went to the Dallas area for a tournament. Went to Lubbock on a Tuesday night. Back to Lubbock for another tournament. The bus is kind of our home away from home. But, at the end of the day, the team understands that it’s the playoffs and knows how important it is to come out ready to play. These young ladies are phenomenal and I’m so proud of them.”

The Lady Harvesters will continue to play their game in hopes of advancing to the third round of the playoffs for the first time in team history.

“They have a good post player in the middle,” Watson said. “She takes up a lot of space in the middle and she can also step outside and knock down a three-pointer occasionally. They have a guard that if we let her get hot from outside, she will not miss. They have another guard that is a ball of energy. She will fly all over the court.”
