HEREFORD- The Pampa Lady Harvesters (17-14, 3-8) volleyball team had their playoff hopes dashed on Tuesday after falling to the Hereford Lady Whitefaces in three sets (15-25, 13-25, 20-25).

While the loss stung, Head Coach Abbey Kashwer takes comfort in knowing her squad gave it all. “After Hereford, we talked about how we want this season to finish and walking away from the remaining matches knowing we left everything on the court,” Kashwer said.

Kashwer added that the rest of the season is about making these final three games the best they can for the seniors on the team.

“The focus of these last three matches is to finish this season on a good note because we will never have this same team again,” Kashwer said. “It could also be some girls’ last volleyball matches, so what do you want to leave behind for future Lady Harvester volleyball players.”

The Lady Harvesters host Perryton on Saturday, which will also be Senior Day for the Lady Harvesters’ seniors Hope Scribner, Jolie Groomer, Karina Gonzalez

“Saturday is Senior Day, so I believe the girls will play hard since it will be one of their last matches in a Pampa Volleyball jersey and in McNeely,” Kashwer said.  “As a group, if we play our game and have ball control, we will be successful on Saturday.”
